Journey to the Savage Planet’s Stadia-exclusive edition coming to current-gen consoles

Fresh from the collapsed Google Stadia platform, Journey to the Savage the Planet: Employee of the Month Edition is coming to Xbox and PS5.

Like an Employee out of hell

If you’ve been out of the loop, Google’s Stadia is kinda done. Okay, actually it’s done-done, as in completely kaput, and Google has issued refunds to the people who bought-in. And while most of what was on that service wasn’t exactly exclusive, a few titles were.

One of those, was Journey to the Savage Planet: Employee of the Month Edition. The special edition of the action/exploration sci-fi title from 505 Games and Raccoon Games included new DLC, as well as “new ads, bonus chats with Martin Tweed and an enhanced photo mode”.

If you missed out, or bought the Stadia version and are now out in the cold, we’ve got good news for you. Namely, that the Employee of the Month Edition is coming to the Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

The title will include full “optimization” for both current-gen consoles, plus a Performance vs Graphics option. So you can play how you want. Add to that 4K support for both native and upscaled modes, and you have a nice little package. Oh, and did we mention that you get the upgrade for free if you have another copy of the game already? Yep.

Journey to the Savage Planet: Employee of the Month Edition is inbound for a Valentines Day (February 14th) release on both the Xbox Series X|S and PS5. If you’d like to check out our review of the original, you can do so here.
