Check out the making of Scars Above, as the sci-fi title heads towards a February launch

A third-person action-adventure, Scars Above strands players on the other side of the galaxy, and wraps them up in a sci-fi mystery (with plenty of action).

Oh my scars

We first showed you Scars Above a while back, and gave you a look at the title’s dark and forbidding alien world. And if you’ve been patiently waiting for more, now’s definitely your time.

We’re not all that far out from launch at this point, and publisher PLAION has released a deeper look at the title’s development. That comes out of Serbian house Mad Head Games, and as you’ll see, it’s looking pretty sharp so far.

The challenging sci-fi third-person action-adventure shooter combines the best elements of combat, a compelling and intricate storyline, and exploration of a mysterious alien world.

The game puts players in the space boots of Dr. Kate Ward, an astronaut and scientist, sent to explore a colossal and enigmatic alien structure – The Metahedron – that appears in Earth’s orbit.

Things don’t go as planned, and the Metahedron hauls Kate and her team across space onto a mysterious extrasolar planet where she wakes up alone in a strange and hostile new environment. Determined to survive, she sets out to find her crew and unravel the mystery behind what’s happened.

PLAION press release

Like what you see? Well just to restate, Scars Above’s launch is coming up fast. Adding onto an already pretty loaded February, the title will be hitting retail on the 28th of the month. You can look for it on the PC, as well as Xbox and PlayStation platforms.

About Jason

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
