The blood-sucking RPG Vampyr took our gold award for June, making it our Game of the Month. Though our runners up were pretty great too.

Yes, this one is late, but you tell a Cimmerian he’s tardy. Conan Exiles’ final retail release is the Brutal Gamer Game of the Month for May.

There was little in April that could even come close to God of War. The reinvention of Kratos, the introduction of the Norse pantheon, and the all around excellent design and gameplay was a package that we all voted for… well, almost all of us.

For the first time since we started issuing “Game of the Month” honors, we have a tie. A Way Out and Sea of Thieves were both good enough to garner the votes to bring home the gold.

There wasn’t all that much hitting retail this past January, but there were a few sparkly gems in there nonetheless. And our favorite out of all of them was Monster Hunter World.

End your year with our Game of the Year for November. Doom is a game that you probably already knew well, but made a fresh splash on the Nintendo Switch.

August was an actual close month in our Game of the Month voting, as a few really solid games saw release. But in the end, it was Mario + Rabbids all the way.

We’re a little late in posting this, but the game of the month for June 2017 was indeed chosen by the BG staff. And yes, it’s Crash.

NetherRealm’s DC Comics fighting game returned last month. And it snatched the first ever BG Game of the Month vote from some solid competition.
