Alien: Rogue Incursion bringing xeno-terror to virtual reality

Alien fans will be able to get up close and personal with the famed movie monsters this year, with Alien: Rogue Incursion.

Well, hold that thought, because we don’t know who you play as in Alien: Rogue Incursion. The game was just revealed today by VR-centric studio Survios, who’ll be bringing the game to multiple headsets this Holiday Season. Also don’t be thrown off by the non-plural “Alien” designation, as it does sound like players will be battling several of the swarming creatures in this new game.

Unfortunately the trailer that was released along with the news blast is the very definition of the word ‘teaser’. There’s no in-game action to be found, though you will see are a few clues to what you’ll be facing, including an unknown planet, a silhouetted hero who’s clearly armed, and of course the overpowering presence of the title beast.

Alien: Rogue Incursion fully immerses players in a harrowing VR journey deep into the Alien universe with an all-new storyline of an ultimate mission that tests their courage, wits, and skill to survive the terrors of the “Perfect Organism.”

Dig that motion tracker pinging. If you’re an Alien fan and the owner of a VR headset, it’s tough not to get excited for what Alien: Rogue Incursion might present. As mentioned too, there’s a good deal of time for plenty more news to emerge about the game before launch, as it is scheduled to arrive some time this Holiday.

You’ll see Alien: Rogue Incursion land then, for the PCVR headsets (via Steam), PSVR 2, and Meta Quest 3.
