Saber Interactive’s Turok: Origins has a brand new trailer, and this one’s action packed. Expect aliens, dinosaurs, and some wicked action.
I. Am. (a) Turok
Still looking like something fairly new for the long-running franchise is Turok: Origins. If you haven’t been following along, that’s being cooked up right now by Saber Interactive, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences. While it’s still fast and brutal looking action, which is right in line with other games in the line, it otherwise shakes things up a decent amount.
For one thing, fans can now swap between first and third person action. Turok being typically an FPS, that’s definitely a new approach. Then there’s the fact that it also features a shift towards co-op play. That’s a big time change, though one that players don’t have to engage with, if they prefer playing solo. Either way though, that brings us to the fact that there isn’t just one Turok.
Unlike in the legacy series, this new game will feature a cadre of “guardians” called the Order of the Turok. That’s where the multiplayer comes in, with players fielding their own hero on a quest to stop an alien threat that’s out to smite humanity itself.
While we didn’t get a ton of new story info today, we did receive a fresh look at gameplay. And for those looking for sci-fi firefights, superpowers, and gigantic dinosaur-like beasts, it might just hit the spot for you. Check it out below.
