Evercade loads up Visco Arcade 1 and 2 carts

Loading up with more classics are Blaze Entertainment and the retro-minded Evercade. Visco Arcade 1 and Visco Arcade 2 are on the way.

Visco returns with 16 arcade classics

Ah, it’s nice to see physical game announcements, isn’t it? It sure is for me anyway, not that Evercade would do anything but, as Blaze Entertainment’s line of consoles is all about physical cartridges. Today sees the reveal of two more of those, with Visco Arcade 1 and Visco Arcade 2. And as the titles denote, these are both arcade themed collections, which together will serve up a total of 16 titles.

If you’re wondering what Visco Corporation is though, you’re not alone. I wasn’t familiar with the name either. Though that’s probably since the Japanese company didn’t have any releases past the turn of the millennium. Still, there’s a pretty rich history there, and it’s one that’s been picked up by French publisher Pixelheart.

Enter Blaze Entertainment, and the result is a pair of new collections, heading to the Evercade and HyperMegaTech! lines of consoles. The carts will arrive next month, and be packed with games from multiple genres, including some sharp looking shoot ’em ups.

“Visco’s catalogue is packed with hidden gems and arcade favourites that deserve to be experienced by a new generation of players,” said Blaze Entertainment CEO Andrew Byatt. “These two collections showcase the incredible variety of games the company produced, and we’re excited to bring them together on Evercade for the first time.”

Visco Arcade 1 and Visco Arcade 2 will both be available on August 28th, 2026. Each acre will be priced in at $29.99 USD, and be playable on “Super Pocket consoles, Evercade Alphas and everything in between”, according to Blaze.

Dual releases, dual eras

Both collections might hail from the same company, but in a cool twist, they spotlight different eras. The first, Visco Arcade 1, includes “early arcade successes”. It seems like it might be the more diverse of the two, offering up “shooters, racing games, puzzle adventures, and sports action”, according to Blaze.

Visco Arcade 1 includes:

  • ASHURA BLASTER.
  • ASUKA & ASUKA
  • DRIFT OUT
  • EARTH JOKER: U.N. DEFENSE FORCE
  • GALMEDES
  • MAZE OF FLOTT
  • ANDRO DUNOS
  • GOAL! GOAL! GOAL!

As for the second collection, that’s a little more specific, but still manages to include games from a few different genres. It also packs in more than just the company’s later ‘arcade’ releases, and branches into Visco’s NEOGEO titles. Who knew?

Visco Arcade 2 includes:

  • DRIFT OUT ’94: THE HARD ORDER
  • BANG² BUSTERS
  • BANG BEAD
  • BATTLE FLIP SHOT
  • BREAKER’S
  • CAPTAIN TOMADAY
  • GANRYU
  • NEO DRIFT OUT: NEW TECHNOLOGY
