Bob’s bigger and badder than ever in Tekken 8

The final piece of Tekken 8‘s Season 3 puzzle dropped into EVO ’26, with Bob. The massive (and fast) fighter is coming up in August.

Speed, weight, and power, here comes Bob

Not that he works in a burger joint, but Bob sure does love to chow down on ’em. Well, among other things that is, as he’s pretty easily the most rotund fighter in the Tekken stable. And now, as of EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, he’s been confirmed as coming to Tekken 8.

Bob is the final new fighter reveal for the game’s Season 3 of content, which also contains Kunimitsu, Roger Jr., and guest star Yujiro. You might know that red-maned menace from the anime Baki. But while he’s a hotly-anticipated addition, we’re taking about good old Bob today.

First debuting in Tekken 6, Bob is indeed returning for part eight as downloadable content. But getting to this latest series-release hasn’t been easy for him. Instead, it seems he’s been hospitalized thanks to the beating he received by Bryan in Tekken 7. And as it happens, it was while in recovery that he had an epiphany.

Was that revelation about fighting? Could it have been about stopping the Mishima family? Nah, wrong on both counts. It was about burgers.

Initially introduced in TEKKEN™6, TEKKEN 8 finds modern-day Bob in the hospital following a beating he received from Bryan on the way to the King of Iron First Tournament 7. While bound in his hospital bed recovering from the fight, Bob gets fed up with the hospital’s bland food and becomes inspired to conceive of his own delicious burger recipe. After being discharged from the hospital, Bob goes on to establish a hugely successful burger chain, leading to the creation of “Bob’s Onigiri,” which brings him even greater fortune and renown. Bob soon finds himself crossing paths with Kazuya on his quest to take over the world, and yet, despite Bob’s newfound successes, he is inspired to take on the greater cause of bringing the hammer of justice down on his foe, Kazuya Mishima.

Season 3 and… a cartoon?

Ready for the big man to put the hurt on Tekken 8‘s cast? Well, that’s good, because his release is coming up fast. First landing for Season Pass 3 holders, Bob will hit on August 19th, 2026, for all versions of the game. The general launch is not far after, seeing him post for sale on August 24th.

As for the rest of Season 3, the first part of the fresh content is actually out now, with Tekken mainstay Kunimitsu. Bob’s part two of that, and will be followed by the aforementioned Roger Jr and Yujiro Hanma. There are no dates yet for either of the latter though, so stay tuned for more from Bandai Namco.

While we’re talking about Tekken too, fans can also be on the lookout for a series of animated shorts. Those will start airing on July 10, 2026, and include “bite-sized episodes of less than a minute”, according to the publisher.

The first season of TEKKEN! CARTOON will include Paul, Yoshimitsu, Kazuya, Alisa, and Kuma. Fans can look for this series to be a fair shake different from what you’ve sene before as well, as it’ll depict “the fearsome warriors in cartoon style with cute animation featuring catchy original music.”
