Hot Toys rolls it back to Batman v Superman for a new Armored Dark Knight

While it might be finished as a film universe, Hot Toys isn’t done just yet with the Snyderverse’s vision of Batman.

*Insert Martha joke*

Okay, goofiness and memes aside, even detractors would have to admit that director Zack Snyder gave fans some pretty visually wicked representations of DC Comics’ biggest heroes. Chief among those might be Batman too, who had easily his most comics-accurate big screen costume to date, and some really slick variations. Take the armored suit from Batman v Superman for example, which adapted the “Dark Knight Returns” armor pretty darn well. It’s a look that collectible maker Hot Toys is about to go back to once again as well, with an all-new take on one of the Dark Knight’s most impressive looks.

Just revealed in its entirety, the new figure will be of course in the 12″ scale, and will feature both die-cast parts and light-up eyes. That’s on top of a generous 30 points of articulation, wired cape, film-accurate collection of accessories, and multiple face possibilities.

Inspired by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Armored Batman (2.0) 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys features stunning diecast armor with expertly applied weathered effects for a battle-worn appearance. The figure comes with a diecast armored head featuring LED light-up eyes and three hand-painted, interchangeable lower face pieces which brilliantly capture Ben Affleck’s facial expressions. Dynamic poses can be achieved with the new body design which boasts enhanced flexibility and 30 points of articulation. In addition to the amazing diecast armor, Batman’s costume also includes a wired cape and a utility belt. Accessories include a detailed grapple gun and a Kryptonite gun with ammo. The specialized figure stand has an LED light-up function for a wonderfully immersive display.

Sideshow Toys press release

Want more? Well there’s also a Deluxe

So yeah, this is one wicked Bat, but Hot Toys has even more in store for those who want the ultimate version of this battle-hardened version of the Dark Knight. Launching right along side the “Collector Edition” is the Deluxe Version, which includes a host of different display options.

The deluxe will include “interchangeable battle-damaged armor with wired cape”, a light-up kryptonite spear from the climax of the fight with Superman, and an additional head. That new head will feature a half torn away helmet that reveals actor Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne. And if you know Hot Toys, then you know that if you can see his eyes, there’s likely a little “rolling eyeball” action in store. And yes, Bruce’s single visible eye will feature the enhancement, lending itself to even more posing possibilities.

Both versions of Batman are up for pre-order now via Hot Toys’ retailing partner Sideshow, and both should ship some time from April through September of 2025. The Collector Edition is priced in at $300 USD, while the Deluxe Version is $370 USD.
