The End Times are coming to Xbox One. Fatshark’s Vermintide followup Warhammer Vermintide 2 hits the Microsoft console next month.
Behold, the coming of Chaos
Fresh from impressing on the PC is Vermintide 2, a multiplayer action affair set in Warhammer’s End Times. Just before the Age of Sigmar, the forces of Chaos are surging, and evil is amok. Vermintide 2 sets you and three friends in the boots of an Old World warrior, tasked with beating back the demonic forces.
We absolutely loved the PC version of the game, tagging it with an 80% and calling it “a breath of fresh air to the horde-survival genre.” And now, it’s on the way to the Xbox One.
“After the huge success with the release of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on PC, we are happy and excited to bring the game to Xbox One.” says Martin Wahlund, CEO at Fatshark. “We can’t wait to stick it to the Skaven and Chaos on another platform.”
Two things: There’s a beta, and a Premium Edition
Surprise! The Beta for Warhammer Vermintide 2 on the Xbox One is live and kicking right now (or it should be anyway). It’s open to everyone in the Xbox Insider Program, so if that’s you, feel free to dig in and see why it’s so cool.
And if you’re ready to pre-order, then you might want to take a gander at the Premium Edition. Orders are open now as well, for the physical deluxe set that includes:
-
Sigmar Keep Statue
-
Helmgart Heraldry Themed Skins
-
Exclusive Pre-order Portrait Frame
-
Premium Edition Portrait Frame
-
6x Exclusive Heroic Deeds
Warhammer Vermintide 2 lands on the Xbox One on July 11th.
