Ash vs Evil Dead S2 trailer hits all the bloodiest notes

This sneak-peek trailer of what’s to come on Ash vs Evil Dead is almost too good. Or too gory. Or something.

Good lord I cannot wait for this show to be back. Gone by WAY too fast, the inaugural season of Ash vs Evil Dead was a revelation, and the above was an all-too-brif tease at the awesomeness to come. It not only set up what should be a great horror/comedy romp, but brought one of the genre’s very best heroes out of retirement. And I mean that pretty much literally.

Looking to be very different than that first season in a bunch of ways, season 2 nonetheless sees Ash once again on the hot seat. Still paired with Kelly and Ray, horror legend Bruce Campbell’s Ash is leaving Jacksonville, Florida behind. I guess he couldn’t quite live with, you know, damning all of humanity so he could sit on a beach. Live and learn.

In any event, he’s apparently on the way back to Elk Grove, which has become the center of evil for the planet. Angie, live and learn. He’s gong to have a fun time there too, forced into teaming with Lucy Lawless’ Ruby against a greater threat. If you remember, she’s the one who did the aforementioned damning. Yep, fun times.

Ash vs Evil Dead season 2 kicks off on Starz Channel this coming October.
