SDCC 2016: New Trek exclusives inbound

Joining their exclusive DC Comics items, Icon Heroes will have some classic Star Trek on hand at SDCC.

With both a sash AND a goatee, Spock clearly takes the evil prize here. Though really, both he and Captain Kirk have never looked more wicked. Both members of the Mirror, Mirror Enterprise’s command crew are ready to go for the big Con next month.

If you’re not familiar with Mirror, Mirror… well, then you’re obviously not the biggest Trek fan in the world. The name is the title of a classic episode, which featured an alternate dimensional version of the Trek universe. In this alt-universe, the Federation was a corrupt and expansionist power. And as you might imagine, that’d mean that Kirk and Spock here followed suit.

The episode itself is a ton of fun, and a real classic, right up there with City on the Edge of Forever. So it’s only fitting that the main characters would get their own exclusives from Icon Heroes for SDCC.

Here are the details:

  • Star Trek Mirror Kirk Statue Paperweight ($50)
The “bad boy” of the Federation, Captain James T. Kirk, just got a little bit badder! Modeled after the evil Kirk from the alternate universe seen in the classic “Mirror, Mirror” episode of the original series, this 8” scale statue paperweight is the epitome of gutsy, sexy and dangerous! Made of high-quality polystone resin and expertly painted, this paperweight statue is sure to impress even the most casual Star Trek fan!
  • Star Trek Mirror Spock Statue Papeweight ($50)
From Star Trek: The Original Series comes this incredible statue paperweight of Mister Spock, modeled after his alternate universe appearance in the classic episode “Mirror, Mirror”. Standing approximately 8” tall, crafted from high quality polystone resin and expertly painted, the son of Sarek stands ready to protect your important papers. Anything less would be … illogical.

Both paperweights will be on the show floor only for as long as stock lasts. You can find ’em at booth #3345.
