A legendary Clone Wars hero, Star Wars: Ahsoka’s take on Captain Rex is on his way to collector’s shelves.

Is Star Wars: The Clone Wars still the most popular TV series from the sci-fi/fantasy property? It might be, as fans just can’t get enough of it and its myriad of heroes and villains, even in the face of tons of new Disney+ content.
It’s still so popular, that a good deal of its prequel-era characters have made their way into modern shows, and in no small way. Take Rex for example, a fan-favorite Clone Trooper Captain who has appeared as a major character in The Bad Batch, and even shown up in live action thanks to Star Wars: Ahsoka.
And while toy-maker Hot Toys usually dresses its animated interpretations in ‘realistic’ form anyway, it’s the latter version of Rex that’ll be coming up some time in the next year or so. Yes, the decorated Captain is getting an adaptation from Ahsoka, and looks exactly how you’d expect.
The 12″ scale figure is set to feature a screen-accurate sculpt and come complete with associated accessories. But that’s not all, because you’ll also get a sandy looking base in the box, that should have him looking great on your shelf or desktop.
The Captain Rex 1/6 Scale Figure features a detailed recreation of his distinctive clone trooper armor and helmet, including interchangeable Phase 1 and Phase 2 armor parts and pauldrons. Rex also wears a magnetized utility pouch and a kama™. Always ready for battle, Rex is equipped with his signature dual blaster pistols plus a blaster rifle and a thermal detonator. This dynamic figure has over 30 points of articulation, allowing for an array of poses. A specially designed sand-themed figure base is included for an immersive display.

While Rex is looking great, he’s still quite a ways off. According to Hot Toys’ retailing partner Sideshow, he’s not scheduled to start shipping til some time between about a year from now through quarter 1 of 2025.
