Ubisoft Forward wrap-up includes Star Wars, lots of Assassin’s Creed, Skull & Bones, and lots more

Ubisoft had a monster of a not-E3 presentation yesterday, under the Ubisoft Forward banner. That includes all the big names you could want.

Triple A

First – no, Splinter Cell still didn’t show up, and there was noting about Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six either. The event was still packed with big names though, including both the return of some of Ubi’s best loved properties, as well as new names like Star Wars.

Star Wars Outlaws was a bit of a shock when it debuted at the Xbox event, looking impressive and going into the property’s underworld instead of including a Jedi as the main character, as would have been typical. If you already saw the impressive trailer from Microsoft’s show, then you might also want to take a look at the new video that goes in-depth with the actress behind the game’s hero Kay Vess.

But Star Wars was just the tip of the iceberg for Ubisoft Forward, as the company talked up all three Assassin’s Creed games currently in the works. That’s an upcoming slate that begins with Mirage of course, a game that brings the series back to its middle-eastern origins.

The big names kept on rolling with the oft-delayed Skull & Bones, which is finally scheduled to arrive… soon? Ish? Even though we didn’t get a firm release date, we did get word of a closed beta for the title, which will kickoff on August 25th and run through the 28th. With that in mind, it can’t be that long before we’re all sailing the seas.

If the above isn’t enough for you, Ubi also showed off Rocksmith, the latest The Division expansions, Halo’s Master Chief coming to Brawlhalla, Avatar, and plenty more. You can check outmost of the new trailers and videos below, though there are some that we didn’t get footage on.

There’s a full recap though, as well as the complete show, if you’d like to check that out. Hit the links above to dig into all of that.
