Payday’s criminal crew hits NYC for new set of heists in Payday 3

If you missed the world premier look at the multiplayer heists of Payday 3, then here’s your chance to rectify that. Expect money, greed, and gunplay.

First you get the… money? I forget

It’s been while, but would-be criminal masterminds are about to get a third run with the Payday crew. That’s going to come complete with a whole new set of jobs, but also some new options… and plenty of loot of course.

PAYDAY 3 takes players to the city of unlimited possibilities – New York City. The Payday gang, consisting of Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains return from retirement and find themselves in the Big Apple after an unknown threat appears, shattering the illusion of peacefully living on the “right” side of the law. As they say, “Leopards can’t change their spots,” and thanks to years of experience and a mysterious new player in the criminal underworld, the gang quickly get their hands on plans for new lucrative heists and leave an explosive calling card with the city’s security and police forces.

PLAION press release

Payday 3 brings back the classic crew, but with more choices than ever before. The press release cites the ability to basically grab any “valuables” you come across while playing missions, in order to build your own “private arsenal of weapons, cosmetics, and accolades.”

Apparently you can also pick how you’d like things to go down, if and when things go south. Players will be able to roll “with elegance, as in Ocean’s Eleven, or go toe-to-toe with the security services, as in HEAT”.

Look for Payday 3 on September 21st, 2023, when it debuts for the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC (via Steam and Epic). It’ll also be a day 1 release on Game Pass, and that’s both for Xbox and PC as well.
