Filled with witchcraft, monsters, and unsettling terror, Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook’s Harrow County is getting the omnibus treatment.
Dark tales
Emmy always knew that the woods surrounding her home crawled with ghosts and monsters. But on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, she learns that she is connected to these creatures—and to the land itself—in a way she never imagined.
Dark Horse press release
Harrow County isn’t your usual horror. It’s not overly bloody, or in your face with the scares. What it is, is unnerving in a way that few “horror” properties are, and I mean that about more than just comics.
One really cool thing about writer Cullen Bunn and artist Tyler Crook’s series too, is that it’s more or less over. The initial run ended, and with it ended the stories of the main characters. Now, that’s not to say that there isn’t more Harrow our there, because there is. But the main storyline, that’s over. You don’t see that too much in comics.
If you missed out, then you’ll be happy to know that Dark Horse is prepping a series of omnibus’. Paperback in format, these will begin with a Volume 1 that includes the first 16 issues of the book. That’s 368 pages worth of frights.
Presumably there’ll be more to come after that, but for now Volume 1 of the Harrow County Omnibus lands in stores on July 29th. It’ll run you $29.99 USD.
