Multiplayer beta scheduled for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

PS4 gamers will get first crack at the multiplayer beta for the next installment of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.

Infinite Warfare

Not much longer, and you’ll be able to get into the multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Well, you will if you’re a PS4 gamer anyway. As you might know, with this new(ish) generation Activision has switched from the Xbox brand over to Sony’s Playstation line. Not that the game themselves will be exclusive to the PS4, but the dlc will be timed exclusives.

So while you got to play the dlc packs and expansions a few weeks early on the Xbox 360, PS4 gamers get all those goodies first this time around. And as such, the multiplayer beta for the forthcoming Infinite Warfare will be on Sony’s baby first. When will that be? October 14th my friends.

Friday the 14th is the date, and 10:00am pacific is the time. That’s when you’ll be able to finally dig back into the multiplayer that you know and love.

Following that, 10am pacific on the 21st will see the beta become available for everyone else… if they’ve pre-ordered the game. Both phases of the beta will come to a close on the 24th, also at 10am pacific time. Right now, it doesn’t seem that there will be an ‘open’ beta that’ll be available for anyone, whether or not you’ve pre-ordered the game. It also seems as though there’s no beta on the PC, which is interesting to note.

As for content, that’ll be announced in the weeks to come, so stay tuned. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC on November 4th. Check out the video below for a look at the multi in action, and a description of the honestly pretty impressive levels of customization that you can get into for your character.
