Remember the days of buying comics at your local convenience store? DC Comics does, and they’ve got a new initiative to being those days back.

Always present with plenty of show exclusives, Diamond Select Toys has a nice slate of goodies set for release at SDCC.

Artist/writer/creator Sam Keith’s Maxx hasn’t been seen in a decade. But the way-out hero is about to make a shocking return, and crossover with DC’s Batman while he’s at it.

If you like Harley Quinn, then you’re going to love what DC Collectibles has on top for the start of the year. It’s packed with statues based on the clown princess and more.

Heroes in Crisis is going to offer the DC U’s biggest heroes in a new light with Sanctuary. Writer Tom King and artist Clay Mann are going to take them there.

Officially called “Joker: The Clown Prince of Crime Edition”, this is a Mr J that some fans had been calling “Punk Joker”. The figure kind of vanished for a while there, but far from being cancelled, he’s now available for pre-order form Mezco Toyz.

DC Comics’ Metal crossover has wrapped up, and its changed the DCU forever in some very interesting ways. It’s also apparently sparked Metal band Mastodon’s Brann Dailor to create some music.

Writer Neil Gaiman’s Sandman Universe is waking up over at DC Comics. The books are set to arrive this fall, and the publisher has just made the artistic team official.

DC Comics originally said there’d be a delay on their Doomsday Clock event series. But it looks like the book will be staying on track after all. Expect it at retail on the 30th.

There’s going to be a lot of awesome stuff to add to your collection this fall from Diamond. Maybe the coolest will be coming up from the Minimate line though. Yep, it’s Maximum Carnage time.

Insight Editions latest comic book-themed tome focuses on one of the most prolific gimmicks in the art form, the variant cover. Inside of DC Comics Variant Covers: The Complete Visual History you’ll find plenty of those, all presented in excellent form.

DC Comics is still relishing in the glow of “1000”, with multiple variant editions out there for Action Comics’ milestone right now. But there’s more to come, with an end-all edition hitting stores this coming September.
