It’s almost time to dive back into Marvel Cosmic Invasion. The beat ’em up welcomes The Siege of Castle Doom next month.
Doom comes to Cosmic Invasion
Yep, it’s a big season for Doctor Doom alright, with the biggest happening taking place on the silver screen. That’ll see the mainstay Marvel villain appearing in the big screen Avengers Doomsday movie. Fans can look for that this December, as the Latverian monarch makes his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While that’s pretty big though, it’s also not all there is for Doom fans. In fact, there’s some gaming news as well.
Said info blasted out of last weekend’s NYCC, and brought word of the upcoming paid downloadable content pack for Marvel Cosmic Invasion. We’ve known that was coming for a while now, though Comic Con finally saw some actual news emerge.
If you’re not following the story, that’s that Tribute Games and Dotemu’s latest is set to get bigger with The Siege of Castle Doom. That won’t be just a level or two either, from the sound of things, as it will include a whole new mode. Unfortunately, the word on just how that pack will play is still a hazy. But even so, we have some fresh info to share.
That comes by way of two new playable characters that’ll be included along with the mode. As it happens, both of those play into the pack too, at least thematically, as they’ll be Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom himself.
The pair will join the already pretty stacked roster, which recently added both Cyclops and The Thing.
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion: The Siege of Castle Doom’s impending new duo includes:
Dotemu press release
- The Invisible Woman: Cosmic rays have given archeologist and explorer Susan Storm massive light-bending powers and force field manipulation. She now fights for the survival of the galaxy as The Invisible Woman, bringing in never-seen-before abilities to MARVEL Cosmic Invasion.
- Doctor Doom: Equipped with high-powered tech armor of his own design, along with occult skills and his genius intellect, Doctor Doom is the biggest threat in the universe… and Annihilus definitely won’t be up to the challenge.
Dropped along with the above, is the actual release date for The Siege of Castle Doom as well. Fans can look to be able to add the pack onto their base copies of Marvel Cosmic Invasion in short order. Look for it to arrive for all versions of the game on November 10th, 2026.
