Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 gets new trailer and debut date

The sequel season to the original run of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is almost here. We’ve got the details and a new trailer.

The Edgerunners are back

Okay, so technically none of the characters from the first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners are back. That’d be kind of a tall order after all. The animated show itself however, is about to start its second season of action on Netflix.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 was revealed a while back, so fans knew it was on the way. The show will once again hail from animation studio TRIGGER, featuring an all-new story and cast. If you’ve been waiting patiently for more info on the show, then you’ll be happy to know that a fresh trailer has indeed arrived, showcasing more of what’s in store.

That comes complete with a better look at that aforementioned cast, and some hints at what the story itself might contain. As to what that might be, it definitely looks as though there might be some malicious AI at work, as well as a nasty case of cyber-psychosis. We’re pretty sure that a famous Night City eatery cameo’s too, but see what you think.

If you’re a Cyberpunk fan, that’s got to leave you wanting more. And if so, the good news is that the debut of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 isn’t far off at all. According to the press release, fans can look for the 10 episode season to kick off on October 20th, 2026.

That release will naturally be exclusive to Netflix once again, and viewers can actually add the season to their list starting right now. That way, you’ll be all set to check it out when it drops in a little less than two months.
