Coming Up: The games of August 2022

The opening volley of fall/Holiday releases starts now, with Madden, Saints Row, PAC-MAN World: RePAC, Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed and more.

Here we gooooo

It does seem like this August might be a little thinner than it usually is, but the fact remains that the big game releases are a little more heavy this month.

The unofficial start of the whole fall and then Holiday release calendar is Madden’s release, and of course that’s here for sure. This year it’s got the man himself on the cover too, to celebrate the life of the game’s namesake who passed away late last year.

For those who’d prefer a more action-oriented time gaming though, there’s plenty to get excited about. The full-on reboot of Deep Silver’s Saints Row lands at retail, along with remakes of both PAC-MAN World and Destroy All Humans! 2.

Then there’s also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. If you’ve been a fan of any of the green teens’ video games over the years, chances are you’ll find something to dig in there. It brings 13 of the characters’ classic games together in one neat little package.
