Starcraft II Protoss Carrier replica coming up from Dark Horse

Dark Horse is about to go big with its line of replica Starcraft ships. Like, really big. Is the Protoss Carrier their biggest replica ever? Might be.

Ships of the line

Have you been watching Dark Horse’s brand new foray into Blizzard’s Starcraft universe? If so, then you’ve probably noticed that the line looks like it’s going to be a winner. As of this week too, it’s doubling in size. Well, to be fair there’s only one more ship that’s been announced, but there was only one before so…

In any event, this latest reveal is pretty freaking great. It’s also the first Protoss craft to appear, and might be the biggest ship that Dark Horse has done in any line. Oh, and it has glowy parts.

This magnificent capital ship is approximately 18” long and made from polyresin. It includes a metal display post to give the ship the illusion of flight over a large protoss base. Elements originally painted blue on the ship will glow in the dark; just charge with a UV light source and you’re good to go!

Dark Horse

While this sounds amazing, it’s also going to clock in at a hefty price. Limited to just 500 pieces, the Protoss Carrier will retail for $299.99 USD. Yeah, that’s a lot. Is it worth it? Depends on how big of a Starcraft fan you are, because this seems it’d pretty easily be a centerpiece type of thing.

The Protoss Carrier hits retail this fall, and you can pre-order (with payment options) here on Dark Horse’s website.
