Square Enix’ incredible looking remake of Final Fantasy VII is about to drop on PS4. And well in advance of that, you’re now able to preload the game.
Icon
However you might feel about it, Final Fantasy VII is an icon. And I don’t mean that just within Square Enix’ long running series either. FF7 is an RPG classic through and through. And now it’s back in fine looking form.
After quite a wait, the game is finally set to debut on April the 10th, exclusively for the PS4. You do not, however, have to wait till the 10th to hit ‘download’. Thanks to Square Enix, you can skip any possible internet issues and grab that DL now, preloading the title onto your PS4.
“We know that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many people having to stay at home, some of you may be experiencing extra pressure on your internet bandwidth. We wanted to give all our fans some extra time to download the game,”
Final Fantasy VII producer, Yoshinori Kitase
Now, if you’ve never done this kind of thing before, you should know that you won’t be able to actually play the game till the 10th. Buying and downloading it now merely means you’ll be able to play right away.
And again, you’ll be able to avoid any possible bandwidth issues. So there is a definite reason to take advantage, if you were planning on picking up the remade FF7 anyway.
