Twitch Prime freebies for January include Dear Esther, Hyper Light Drifter

Kicking off the year for Twitch Prime members is a fresh spread of games that includes indie hits like Dear Esther and Hyper Light Drifter.

With a bang

If you don’t know, and I get the feeling a lot of people don’t since I don’t see much coverage of it, Twitch Prime offers free games every month for PC gamers. Yes, you do have to be a member of either Twitch Prime or Amazon Prime to get these. Seeing as the latter is pretty common at this point though, I think it’s safe to say that there are a lot pf people included in that.

If you’re one of them, then you have some solid titles included to start off 2020. Unlike some months though, January’s freebies include all indie titles. So there are no big studio releases included, though there are some add-on goodies that are.

Free for PC gamers this month are:

  • A Normal Lost Phone
  • Anarcute
  • Splasher
  • Kingdom New Lands
  • Dandara
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Ape Out
  • Witcheye
  • Heave Ho
  • Gato Roboto

If you saw December’s titles, you’ll note that there are a few crossovers. They’re not being offered again, they’re just still free. So if you missed Gato Roboto and Ape Out, get to it.

As I mentioned too, there are a bunch of add-ons free this month as well. Scroll on down for those, complete with dates.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
