Larian Studios’ epic-scale RPG has finally made it onto consoles, and in “Definitive Edition” form. The game’s out now on Xbox One and PS4.
Original Sin all over again
Is there a better looking RPG than Divinity: Original Sin? Could be that there isn’t. Both games in the series have been gorgeous, and also seem to be seriously able to hold onto their audience’s attention with some deep stories. Original Sin 2 was also one of the highest rated titles on the PC back in 2017.
Now, of course, the game is available for consoles. Both PS4 and Xbox One gamers can finally get in on the action and see what all the praise has been about. And this version is loaded too, with all the content from the previous release, and then some.
Here are a few highlights:
- Enhanced controls and gameplay experience for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4
- Refined story elements, spells, environments
- Split screen co-op
- Revamped Arena Mode which features solo gameplay, online multiplayer PVP, and pass-the-controller Hot Seat mode
- 4K with HDR support
Arena Mode goes pretty deep by the way, introducing 16 playable characters, each one with “their own unique set of skills and abilities.” So there’s lots to like, maybe even enough for those who’ve already put a few hours into it on the PC.
