George Perez’ Thanos Legacy #1 artwork revealed today by Marvel

All time Marvel great George Perez returns for Thanos Legacy #1. Have a peek at his first revealed piece of art, featuring the main Titan himself.

Legacy of madness

So what’s Thanos Legacy? Well, it’s a prequel of sorts, that’s what. Set before the events of Infinity Wars, which is a currently running event, Thanos Legacy is meant to connect the mad god to the new character of Requiem. And if you read any of the Infinity Wars issue that’s out now, well you know where that’s heading. If you haven’t, I’ll refrain from further comment.

The book is heading to stands courtesy of star writer Donny Cates, as well as Gerry Duggan, and Brian Level. So where does Perez come in? He’s supplying this awesome looking variant cover. That is some classic Thanos right there, and should be mighty appealing to old school fans.

As for the book itself, here’s a bit more about it right from Marvel. Except to see it on the stands on September 5th.

“Donny is cooking up a 20 page story that answers the questions you’re definitely going to have regarding the mind-blowing events of INFINITY WARS PRIME…while Gerry Duggan is writing a story about the connection between Thanos and Requiem. Both shine new lights on the villain of INFINITY WARS and how the story comes from what came before,” editor Jordan D. White teased to Marvel.com earlier this summer.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
