The big event that’s wrapping up in Marvel Comics right now is on the way to the cartoon version of the web-head, with some minor (and major) alterations.

The headline book this week is, undoubtably, Spider-Gwen. The oddly titled Spidey spin-off isn’t the only thing worthy your time though, as this is a pretty beefy week all around for new comics from just about every publisher.

Tamashii Nations and Bluefin have some of the best-looking toys out there right now. Chances are that you’ll be into something that they’re offering, whether it’s their new Injustice series, their awesome re-imaginings of Star Wars, or their incredible Super Mario line.

Marvel’s Secret Wars get a lot more interesting with the revelation that the Infinity Stones (*ahem*) are on Battleworld and that Thanos is after them once again. But what happens when he runs into the Nova Corps?

Valiant Comics’ newest monthly hero, Ninjak already has his own series set for debut next month, but there’s way too much to fill in for the deadly assassin and it just can’t all fit in one narrative. Enter The Lost Files.

From the pages of Hellboy and Dark Horse’s B.P.R.D. universe, Frankenstein Underground continues the story of this unique adaptation of the famous monster.

Oh my was there an awesome lot of toys in the DC Direct booth at this year’s Toy Fair. The company’s Batman animated series is exploding with new offerings (and a Batmobile!) and their new 6″ line will make you beam if you were a fan of Mattel’s defunct DCUC …

Every Ghost Rider you can think of (and more than a few that you can’t) will be starring in Marvel Comics’ latest Battleworld book, Ghost Racers.

You might be familiar with Square Enix’ very cool line of DC Comics characters, and there’s more to love on that front from last week’s Toy Fair, but there’s plenty more too with some cool gaming figures and the debut of their new Marvel Comics series.

The companion set of ‘ends for the company’s recently announced Batman bookends, the new Superman set should add a little Krypton to your books, movies, or both.

Mike Mignola’s Hellboy is 21 this year so I guess a celebratory drink kind of is in order. And what better than one named after his mighty Right Hand of Doom.

Not a bad week for some of the biggest characters in comics. The Amazo Virus arc comes to a close in Justice League, while The Valiant tosses almost envy hero that the Valiant U has at the Immortal Enemy.

Yes, there were new Minimates galore (which were all great) and some super-cool new Marvel Select toys on display at the Diamond Select booth at Toy Fair, but seeing the all-new Ghostbusters Select figures? That was one of the highlights of the entire show.

Dark Horse put in an impressive showing at this Toy Fair, with a heavy emphasis on everybody’s favorite gritty and gruesome medieval fantasy TV show- Game of Thrones.

Lots to like in this preview of what’s on tap for NECA in 2015 including a pretty massive expansion of the 8bit classics line, a quarter scale Christopher Reeve Superman, and tons more. 

Okay, so maybe this new set of Batman bookends won’t terrify bad guys, but they are pretty awesome.
