Yoshi leads the way in this week’s Nintendo Download

Mario’s cute little dino-pal has his latest adventure ready to roll into the Nintendo Download, with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.

Another big Nintendo Switch 2 game arrives this week, with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. This latest entry in Yoshi’s solo series brings the shoe-wearing dinosaur into contact with the title tome. And it’s in those pages that he meets all manner of creatures, though it doesn’t seem like he’ll be fighting.

Instead, the title looks to center on exploration and interaction. Think more ‘floating in bubbles and collecting stuff’ than ‘stomping and gobbling’. Well, to a degree. It does still seem that there’s a good deal of chowing down, it’s just that it’s in non-combat situations.

If that doesn’t float your boat, then you do have a few other options. Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition brings some JRPG action to the Switch 2 today, plus Coffee Talk Tokyo delivers a “coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator” for both the Switch and Switch 2.

There’s more though, as the Switch 2 also adds the likes of Bubsy 4D and R-Type Dimensions III. The original Switch? Yep, that’s got more games too, and plenty of them. The tidal wave of releases also includes Bubsy 4D, R-Type Dimensions III, and Arcade Archives Mr. Do!, plus a ton more.

• Coffee Talk Tokyo – Enjoy the newest installment of the beloved coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator. In a city of paper and steel, as large as a country, a small café gives humans and fantasy people a cozy place to be. Brew the right order for your customers as they seek refuge from the sweltering Tokyo summer heat and share heartfelt stories to chill lo-fi beats. Set in Tokyo, a city where old and new coexist, this newest game in the Coffee Talk franchise brings back familiar elements with new twists. Coffee Talk Tokyo is available today on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
