Bandai Namco sets weekly schedule of new looks at 2024’s Tekken 8

Ready to lick off the new year with a flurry, the hype-train is about to start rolling full-speed for Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8.

Have a very Iron New Year

Landing in late January, Bandai Namco’s long-awaited Tekken 8 has already had a ton of press. We’ve seen new character unveilings, some looks at returning heroes and villains, and of course lots of gameplay. But all of that was just the tip of the knuckle, as the publisher has revealed a weekly plan to get fans even more hyped for the fighting-sequel.

That plan will deliver a new video for the game every Wednesday, with each one taking a deeper look at its roster. It actually started last week, and if you missed the initial drop (as we did), we’ve got it for you below.

Say ‘hi’ to Leo:

Kicking this off in style is Leo, the fighter with an explosive Bajiquan fight style. The “Seeker of Truth” is Leo’s lineage embodied, born to Niklas Kliesen, a father versed in martial arts, and Emma Kliesen, an inquisitively minded mother. Leo’s journey in TEKKEN 8 is a hunt for the truth behind the mysterious circumstances that led to Emma’s death.

Bandai Namco press release

Tiny little fists of fury there, for a character who’s one of the new additions to Tekken 8’s massive, 32 fighter-deep roster. This trailer push will be delivering new looks at all of them too, so there’s plenty of fresh video to come, as the weeks roll on past the end of 2023 and into Tekken 8’s release week.

Speaking of, the return of the Iron Fist is scheduled for January 26th, 2024, when the game drops for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).
