Payday 3 gets a live-action trailer before September launch for consoles and PC

Deep Silver and Starbreeze revealed a live-action look at crime-actioner Payday 3 at Gamescom, starring Ice T himself.

Now that’s some Ice

The clown masked gang is back for another heist, and we’re not talking about in Gotham. Starbreeze’s Payday is returning next month, and the series is ready to drop what might be its biggest title yet, sending players on a massive crime-epic through the big city.

While Payday 3 is looking great visually, the game’s appearance at this past weekend’s Gamescom took a decidedly different angle than your usual trailer. The tease came by way of a live-action video, loaded up with an appearance by iconic rapper and actor Ice T. He won’t just be a celeb tagalong though, as Ice will also be figured into the actual title.

And don’t get too bummed that this new look doesn’t have any in-game stuff by the way, as the five minute-long video is pretty great all by itself.

It’s almost Payday ladies and gents, as Payday 3 is set to hit Xbox Series X|S (and Game Pass), PS5, PC and GeForce NOW on September 21st, 2023.
