RoboCop: Rogue City’s Gamescom trailer details detective work and bad guy blasting

It’ll be time to take out Old Detroit’s trash this fall, in RoboCop: Rogue City, and Gamescom brought the first real look at gameplay.

Going rogue

It’s been a while since game fans have gotten a RoboCop game of any level of quality. And a genuinely good one? The last one that could have been labeled that way might have been in the 16bit era. So with that in mind, fans have taken particular note of NACON and developer Teyon’s RoboCop: Rouge City.

Til now, we haven’t seen much of the title’s actual in-game action, but that was seen to this past week at Gamescom. A new trailer debuted at the show, that not only delved into the gunplay of Rogue City, but also the title character’s tech-enhanced detective capabilities, and the story that’ll drive the action.

Taking place in the MGM film’s universe, Rogue City will find a Robo who’s taking matters into his own hands, and struggling with the conflicted nature of being a man-made-machine.

RoboCop: Rogue City, inspired by the hit MGM franchise, showed off new gameplay and cinematics that outlined the game’s original story. Fans were able to enjoy the shooting and investigation gameplay and were given a glimpse into the game’s storyline. RoboCop: Rogue City will launch on November 2, 2023 on consoles and PC.

NACON press release

As you can see there, RoboCop returns to video games on November 2nd, 2023. You can expect to see the title launch for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as the PC.
