From the video game series, to the DC comic book, Injustice has been a hit. The tale of a Superman gone bad is heading to home video for an October release.
Rogue
Injustice had, at the time, a fairly unique story. Though we’d seen similar stuff already, it’s story about a rogue Superman was still shocking. That, of course, was mainly due to the fact that it actually used Superman. Yes, it was an “alternate universe” but there were no stand-ins in Injustice.
And now that first story is making its way to the world of home video. From Mark Peters, who helmed Warner Bros’ Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, Injustice will sport an all-star cast with Justin Hartly and Anson Mount onboard as Superman and Batman respectively.
Inspired by Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm Studios’ popular video game, and the best-selling DC graphic novel based on the video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Oneby Tom Taylor, the animated film Injustice finds an alternate world gone mad – where The Joker has duped Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the Man of Steel on a deadly rampage. Unhinged, Superman decides to take control of the Earth for humanity’s own good. Determined to stop him, Batman creates a team of like-minded, freedom-fighting heroes. But when Super Heroes go to war, can the world survive?
Warner Bros
Injustice is rated R, and will arrive on both Blu Ray and digital formats on October 19th, 2021.
