Time to reassemble the team, Call of Duty: WWII’s multiplayer war zone will soon be calling.
Getting the band back together
Another year, another CoD, and lots more multiplayer to play. Well, sort of. While Call of Duty has been trying new things and going further and further into the future in recent years, there’s been an ever-growing section of fans looking for something else.
That “something else” of course, was World War II. CoD got its start as a series in the second great war, and that portion of its history is still very highly regarded. With good reason too. Call of Duty captured gamers attention and pulled them away from Medal of Honor, the FPS du jour of the time. It was groundbreaking in both campaign and multiplayer.
But as harrowing and gritty as the campaigns were, it was that multi that really made it soar. And while the above trailer shows zero in the way of CoD: WWII’s gameplay, it most definitely echoes a sentiment that many a gamer will probably be feeling some time soon. Time to dig back into Call of Duty, as it was meant to be.
Activision’s latest Call hits consoles and the PC on November 3rd.
