Magneto and Red Skull are on a collision course in the March to Axis

Before Marvel’s big Axis event kicks off this Fall, Red Skull collides with the mutant master of magnetism.

It’s the marquis comics event of the fall – uniting the Avenger & X-Men for a desperate battle against the Red Skull and his armies. But first, experience the ‘March to AXIS’, the epic lead-in to Avengers & X-Men: AXIS in your first look at MAGNETO #9 – from critically acclaimed creators Cullen Bunn & Gabriel Hernandez Walta! Magneto is on a mission to put a permanent stop to anyone hunting mutants. What’s he going to do when he discovers that mutants are being hauled away to the Red Skull’s re-education camps? That alone would be enough to invoke the wrath of the Master of Magnetism. Now ask yourself what he’s going to do when he finds out the Red Skull stole the brain of his deceased friend and ally – Charles Xavier? Things are about to get messy. But can he overcome the Red Skull and his terrifying S-Men? Avengers & X-Men: AXIS looms on the horizon, but your first taste comes this September as the ‘March to AXIS’ begins inMAGNETO #9!

I still very much consider Magneto a villain. Sure Marvel tries to blur the lines more and more with all sorts of X-Men affiliations and such, but Mags is a bad guy at heart and that’s one of the coolest things about Magneto #9 here.

Seeing two big time baddies go at each other is more fun than seeing heroes at each others throats in my opinion, and that’s just what’s on tap for March to Axis as the Red Skull further tightens his grip on the Marvel U. Magneto versus Red Skull should be a slobber-knocker of suitably epic proportions and well worth the price of admission.

Grab a copy of Magneto #9 when it hits the stands on September 10th from Cullen Bunn and Gabriel Hernandez Walta.
