The Last of Us’ new trailer explores apocalyptic back-story

Naughty Dog’s PS3 exclusive The Last of Us is looking like a stunner in the new story-centric trailer. What’s life like after the end of the world?

I absolutely love the semi-organized world that ND is crafting for The Last of Us. One of the biggest problems I usually have with apocalyptic (especially zombie apocalyptic) stories is that they usually show little to no remnants of organized life and society remaining after the fall.

Personally, I think The Last of Us’ route makes a lot more sense. There are still pockets of civilization, you just might not want to be involved with them.

Also, and this should probably not even need a mention, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. The acting looks to be equally impressive and I’m pleasantly surprised by the high level of detail in the facial animation (especially for an action title).

Find out if The Last of Us lives up to the hype when it drops on May 7th, 2013 for the PS3.
