Criminal Macabre meets 30 Days of Night in a monster of a crossover

I can’t say I saw this one coming- IDW’s 30 Days of Night meets Dark Horse’s Criminal Macabre in a massive, blood-soaked crossover event called Final Night. Check out a special preview of the book after the jump.

I’m not the biggest horror fan in the world and I actually don’t read either 30 Days of Night or Criminal Macabre on a regular basis. That said, I might have to start- because just the first three pages in this special preview of the Final Night crossover are most definitely enough to get my attention.

Pretty cool, no?

The storyline is actually a pretty major one for fans of both series as it focuses on Criminal Macabre’s Cal McDonald and the biggest of the baddies in the 30 Days of Night universe- Eben,

Cal McDonald only wanted a beer, but what he got was a jaded federal agent and a story about vampires up in Barrow, Alaska. There’s a new vamp in LA, and he’s hell bent on escalating his attacks. When Mo’Lock’s sometimes ghoul-friend is murdered, Cal’s on the hunt . . . for Eben—the longtime protagonist/antagonist of 30 Days of Night.

Something else that’s really cool about the book is that both 30 Days and Criminal Macabre were created by the very talented Mr. Steve Niles. Two different properties, two different publishers, one author… and a whole lot of vampires and action. Fortunately, there isn’t too much longer to wait to see where all this headed as the first issue of Criminal Macabre: Final Night – The 30 Days of Night Crossover hits stands on December 12th.

Adding it to the old pull list… now.
