Were you waiting for that follow up to the poorly received Sonic Boom reboot of Sonic the Hedgehog? No? Well, that’s good because it won’t be coming out till next year.

Looks like Sega hasn’t given up on the Sonic Boom spinoff series just yet.

We already knew that Sega’s latest revision of Sonic the Hedgehog wasn’t the hit that they hoped it would be, but it’s an even bigger ‘miss’ for the company than pretty much anyone would have guessed.

Sonic Boom is almost here for the Wii U and 3DS, and now there’s a demo for the handheld version so you can see what all the re-designed fuss is about.

PAX is one of the biggest enthusiast shows of the year and Sega will be taking full advantage of the massive audience with Sonic, Hatsune Miko, and that Alien game everyone is talking about.

Two of the possible biggest games of the year are on Sega’s docket for the big E3 dance, but they’ll be bringing more than just the Blue Blur to the show.

This past week, GR talked up (what else) the new direction for Sonic the Hedgehog with Sonic Boom, ran down the full ins and outs of the new Smash Bros game from Nintendo and published a little something about a topic called video game linearity.
