Step into the shoes of Juli Kidman, The Evil Within main character’s Sebastian Castellanos’ partner, in The Assignment DLC pack.
We were pretty darn impressed by The Evil Within when it brought horror storming back onto consoles and the PC last Fall, and it looks like The Assignment is set to be more of the same- and that’s not a bad thing y any stretch. Even though the action will be of the creepy and grey variety (this is The Evil Within), there will be some big differences from the main game in the simple fact that you’ll be playing as a whole new character in this two-part adventure.
That’s right, The Assignment is just the first installment of this downloadable quest. Part two, The Consequence, will finish things off when it hits a little later this year. In both parts, you’ll be playing as Kidman, and Bethesda promises that the narrative will explain where exactly she was and what was happening during Castellanos’ portion of the original story. They also promise that the two-parter will explore more of what Mobius is (the evil syndicate that ran behind the scenes of the game) and will see Kidman “encounter disturbing new enemies, discover new mysteries, and uncover new horrors”- oh good, and here I was thinking she’d be taking a leisurely stroll through a meadow.
The Evil Within: The Assignment, will be hitting consoles and the PC on March 10th, with part two arriving sometime in the Spring. The game expansion(s) will be available singly or as a part of the Season Pass that’s currently available for $19.99 USD. And if you just can’t wait to get a glimpse of the all-new action, tune into the Twitch stream of the pack, which’ll be happening at Twitch.TV/Bethesda on Friday, March 6th at 4pm eastern.
