The PS4 gets 3D Blu-Ray capable next week

I guess it didn’t sit all that well to see the Xbox One getting support for the format before the PlayStation.

It wasn’t all that long ago that we reported on the new Xbox One update that is set to bring 3D Blu-Ray movie support to Microsoft’s newest box next month. In the article we pointed out that it was interesting that the Xbox One would be getting support for 3D movies before Sony’s PS4 considering the latter company really pioneered the format and were behind the whole 3D push from a few years back.

Well, now PS4 gamers who like their entertainment in their collective faces need worry no more- 3D flicks are on the way to PS4. In a big old update set to be released for the console, the PS4 will have the added capability tacked onto it’s playback abilities as of next week.

Time to dust off those PS3 goggles? You might want to see if you can remember where you put them…
