Bob bounds into Tekken 8 for Season 3 Pass holders

The latest downloadable-content for Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 is here, as the “Onigiri Savior” Bob arrives as a part of Season 3.

What about Bob?

First debuting in Bandai Namco‘s Tekken 6, the rotund master of the martial arts Bob has arrived for Tekken 8. A staple since his first-appearance in 2007, Bob nonetheless had kind of rough road to get to the current flag-bearer for the fighting series.

For one thing, there’s the fact that he’s in what’s Season 3 of the game’s DLC roadmap, though that’s not what we’re referring to. Nope, instead we mean the absolute beating that he took in Tekken 7. That drubbing came at the hands of Bryan, and sent old Bob to the hospital for a good, long stay.

It’s while he was there though, that his life changed. See, Bob got sick and tired of the place’s food. And as a result of that, he renounced fighting in order to open his own burger chain. That retirement doesn’t last long though, when runs into Kazuya Mishima, and vows to bring the villain to justice.

Initially introduced in TEKKEN™6, TEKKEN 8 finds modern-day Bob in the hospital following a beating he received from Bryan on the way to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. While bound in his hospital bed recovering from the fight, Bob gets fed up with the hospital’s bland food and becomes inspired to conceive of his own delicious burger recipe. After being discharged from the hospital, Bob goes on to establish a hugely successful burger chain, leading to the creation of “Bob’s Onigiri,” which brings him even greater fortune and renown. Bob soon finds himself crossing paths with Kazuya on his quest to take over the world, and yet, despite Bob’s newfound successes, he is inspired to take on the greater cause of bringing the hammer of justice down on his foe, Kazuya Mishima.

Bandai Namco press release

Well under way at this point, Season 3 of Tekken 8‘s DLC has so far seen both Bob and Kunimitsu arrive. Those fighters mark the halfway point, with Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma still incoming. There are no dates for those characters just yet, but as mentioned, Bob is out now. Well, he is as a part of the Season 3 Pass anyway.

Pass holders have early access to the fighters included in the downloadable collection, and that includes Bob. If you don’t have one of those though, hang on, because it won’t be too long before he’s out and ready for purchase for all Tekken 8 players.

Fans can look for him to debut a’la carte in just a few days, on August 24th.
