Hot Toys’ latest Avengers: Doomsday reveal is Professor X

Returning once again is Professor X, in this December’s Avengers: Doomsday. And as it happens, he’ll also be joining Hot Toys‘ lineup.

Professor X returns

What part will Professor X will play in this year’s Avengers: Doomsday film? That’s yet to be revealed, though we do know that he’ll be present for what looks like the biggest Marvel film in a while. Even though there isn’t much in the way of info just yet though, it does look like the movie will find his universe in the midst of a multiversal incursion.

You’ll likely be able to thank the film’s heavy, Doctor Doom, for that. Doom will have some major, and as-yet unrevealed, part to play in a plot that looks like it’ll seriously uproot the status quo for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Naturally, a version of the X-Men will be caught up in that, along with a cadre of robotic Sentinels.

Whatever the details, Professor X has easily become one of actor Patrick Stewart’s most memorable roles. And with that, fans looking to add the iconic character to their collections should be happy with retailer Sideshow‘s latest reveal. That, as you can see above, is that collectible-giant Hot Toys is prepping as 12″ scale version of the character.

Coming complete with a new version of his wheelchair, the X-Men’s mentor looks to be touting some incredible detail. That includes a likeness of Stewart, which appears to be spot-on. He’s also set to have a new X-Men uniform, and of course his wheelchair.

To me, my X-Men

In Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster event, Avengers: Doomsday, the boundaries of reality are about to be shattered, and the stage is set for the monumental return of the legendary founder of the X-MenProfessor Charles Xavier. Guiding heroes through the most perilous of times, his profound intellect and unparalleled telepathic abilities are set to make him an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Inspired by his appearance in Avengers: Doomsday, the Professor X 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys features a newly developed headsculpt with a detailed likeness of Sir Patrick Stewart. The headsculpt is equipped with separate rolling eyeballs, so that collectors can recreate his intense focus and powerful psychic stares. A selection of interchangeable hands allows fans to pose him using his telepathic powers or operating his wheelchair.

Professor X comes dressed in a dark navy ribbed inner shirt, a dark navy tactical jacket featuring the iconic X-Men logo, a belt with a matching logo, dark navy pants, and a pair of black shoes. The piece measures approximately 9.65 inches (24.5 cm) tall including his wheelchair. His highly articulated body has a built-in magnetic function for securely attaching him to his wheelchair.

His meticulously crafted wheelchair features an articulated joystick and rotatable wheels. Accessories include a sign for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters and a wooden floor-themed graphic card that recreates the devastating scene as seen in the official trailer.
