Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown just got a fresh update, loaded with quality of life improvements and a new vehicle.
Taking flight in Star Trek: Voyager
The recently released Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown just got a new means of traveling the Delta Quadrant. The Delta Flyer has landed for use in the game, adding one more classic show element to the strategy title.
That arrived along with a host of quality of life improvements, in a free update that’s out now for the Dadalic Entertainment game. Officially tagged as Patch 1.7, fans can now look to be able to field the Flyer in a mix of new and existing in-game quests.
A special type of shuttlecraft that’s maybe better labeled a ‘fighter’, the Delta Flyer first appeared in the show’s fifth season, in 1998. It was both heavily-armed and super-maneuverable. Not a bad ship to have access to, if you were on the temporarily ill-fated mothership. Interestingly too, it also wasn’t actually a “Starfleet” creation. Instead, it was built onboard the Voyager as it was lost in space.
The game version is much the same, as it can be constructed right in the Voyager’s shuttle bay. Once complete, it will open up a new quest-line, starring its creator, Tom Paris. That’ll get players “construction mechanics, and a combat ally role that won’t split your rewards”. Though, according to Daedalic, it also has specific branches in already existing quests.
Those include “Old Friends, New Enemies, The Drone, and Uprising.” As you can see in the gallery below too, the ship itself is looking pretty slick.

While it’s easily the biggest part of the new drop, the Delta Flyer is just part of this new update. Overhauled bridge UI is a part of that lot, plus PlayStation controller support, “a wave of quest fixes”, and more.
