The Avengers join King in Black this April

Marvel’s monster-sized crossover event series King in Black is rocking and rolling, and will be adding some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes this April.

The darkness rises

King in Black, just in case you’re unaware, is a beast of an event series. From the all-star Venom team of Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, King in Black stars Eddie Brock and a cavalcade of Marvel heroes and villains.

The threat they face is none other than the “god of symbiotes”, Knull. And as the cosmic villain approaches Earth and begins his savage assault, it’s almost al hands on deck. And that’s where issue #45 of Avengers comes in.

A King crossover, Avengers #45 stars a pretty wild squad of characters. How wild? Just take a look at the cover, with Blade at the fore and an army of vampires backing him up. Yes, backing him up.

Now fully underway, Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s KING IN BLACK has taken the entire Marvel Universe by storm. And in April, the year’s most talked-about event will explode in the pages of Jason Aaron’s AVENGERS. Featuring art by Luca Maresca (Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Black Cat Strikes), AVENGERS #45 will star Blade and a vampire army taking on Knull’s forces.

The vampire hunter has been at the forefront of battles throughout KING IN BLACK and now the vampire hunter will pay a dark price that will change his world forever. Setting up Blade and the Avengers for what’s to come, AVENGERS #45 is a key chapter in the King in Black saga that fans won’t want to miss. Check out the cover by Cory Smith below and pick up the issue when it hits stands in April. For more information, visit Marvel.com.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
