Classic Karate Kid figures coming up from Icon Heroes

Fans of Cobra Kai and the classic Karate Kid series alike should have a look at the upcoming figures from Icon Heroes.

No Mercy

Cobra Kai is pretty easily YouTube Red’s biggest hit, and a legitimately great show too. And I don’t mean that only for the nostalgia either. The sequel series to the original movies, Cobra Kai has terrific writing and some great acting from the original stars too. It’s brought Karate Kid back into the entertainment landscape in a big way.

Oddly enough, there’s not much in the way of merch from the show. What has happened however, is a resurgence of licensed items from the original movie. That’s also what Icon Heroes plays off of here for these two new figures.

If you’re wondering, yes this seems to be a relatively new endeavor for the company. IH is much better known for their statues, and I don’t actually think they’ve made figures before.

For a first effort, these look great. More than that, they’re super-posable with some 29 points of articulation. Both figures will run $39.99 USD a piece, and should be on shelves by year’s end.

Here’s the official rundown:

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
