The Witcher’s last hurrah in one tidy package
Witcher 3 was one of the largest releases of 2015, receiving both commercial and critical acclaim. It then went on to win hundreds of game of the year awards, making it one of CD Projek RED’s most successful games. As a result, it really was only a matter of time before Projek RED released a game of the year edition, and as of now it has officially been announced.
The Witcher 3 has received two major expansions since its release, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. In addition to that, CD Projek RED has also been releasing a steady stream of free DLC for the game. DLC that tinkered with the game’s interface and mechanics and was released on a fairly frequent basis. All of this will no doubt be included in the game of the year edition
Details are rather light at the moment. Although Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of the game, has promised that more information will be released in the near future. Tomaszkiewicz also thanked the fans of the game for supporting him and his team, describing them as amazing.
