Turns out that the Caribbean has been busy. Ubisoft reveals some numbers pertaining to Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynched.

Released just a shade over a month ago, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynched looks like it’s been the success that publisher Ubisoft was hoping for. The title followed on the heels of 2025’s lackluster Shadows, delivering a smash hit performance with some three million copies (according to Ubisoft) sold in its first week alone.

It’s pretty easy to see why the title has had the success it’s had. After all, the game served up an enhanced version of a beloved classic. The original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag can safely be called a fan-favorite even today, for a few reasons.

For one thing, there’s the general theme of piracy, which still hasn’t been done as well in any other game that we can think of. There’s also Edward Kenway, the star of the show, who’s pretty easily one of the best-held heroes in the saga. Add all of that to a game that looks leagues better than the classic and includes a host of improvements, and you have Black Flag Resynched.

With that, it certainly seems as though there’d be little for fans to dislike. And speaking of that fanbase, it’s been quite busy when it comes to Black Flag Resynched‘s world.

To celebrate a month on the high seas, Ubisoft has revealed a stack of community stats. They show just how the fans have been playing Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynched, and shed a little light on what have been the favored activities.

The list starts with a ridiculous amount of combined travel-time on the Jackdaw, Kenway’s ship. How’s a thousand times around the world sound? We’d say that means players have been making use of the old gal. The numbers don’t stop there though, as fans have also petted 28.29 million in-game animals. The fave? Those’d be cats.
