The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival landing in September

The beat ’em up adaptation of the apocalyptic TV series is almost here. The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival arrives next month.

Still going startlingly strong is The Walking Dead. The zombie-powered television phenom currently has spinoffs Dead City and Daryl Dixon rolling, with the latter about to wrap up its fourth and final season. Things are about the same in the video game space too. That’s to mean that the property has had a steady stream of titles.

There’s about to be another one of those landing too, with The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival. This new offering isn’t what we’d usually expect either, as it’s something of a beat ’em up. As far as we know, the new game will be the first in the genre to feature the theme.

It won’t just be waves of undead to fight either, as will pit players against a host of iconic foes. Negan, Simon, and the Saviors will all be included as bosses, and they’re not all. AMC Global Media and developer Trailmark Games say that players can also watch for “fan-favorite walkers like Winslow, the Well Walker, and more” to be in the mix too.

Coming this September

The latest look at The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival isn’t all that we’ve got for you today. As you can see above, the game’s finally been dated, and has a few options to talk about too. First up though, is that release date, as it’s right around the corner.

Fans itching to battle their way through the apocalypse will be able to do so starting September 18th, 2026. That’s the date when The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will hit all platforms, including PS5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, and the PC (via Steam). Pre-orders are open now, and as mentioned, there are some options.

Both Standard and Deluxe editions will land on the 18th, with the latter including some bonuses. Along with the base game, buyers will be in for the Arcade Apocalypse Pack, which includes “bonus weapon skins, a premium Rick skin, the digital soundtrack, hardcore difficulty mode, and Endless Survival mode”.

As for pricing, the Standard version of The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will run you $19.99 USD, while the Deluxe is priced in at $29.99 USD. Also worth noting, is that fans who’ve got access to a PC can give the game a spin as they read this. Yep, there’s a Steam demoalking dead
