SDCC ’26: Mattel Brick Shop expands with Halo’s Warthog

It’s a timely announcement for sure, as Mattel has revealed that the Halo UNSC M12 Warthog will be coming to the buildable Brick Shop line.

The Warthog is in the Brick Shop

One of the most hotly anticipated games of the year, the upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved is just about ready. But before it arrives, Mattel has some news for fans. Namely, that came via SDCC today, with the reveal of a buildable kit.

That’d be a part of the toy-giant’s Brick Shop, which produces interlocking brick kits. You know the kind. There are a heck of a lot of Hot Wheels sets under that banner already, and Masters of the Universe has had a number of releases too. All insured by the recent movie, some of those look pretty darn neat too. Now though, there’s another big name being added, with the aforementioned Halo.

To that end, the Halo UNSC M12 Warthog is set to arrive this October. Fans can look for the set to include a total of 935 bricks, complete with some neat features. According to Mattel, the Warthog (once completed) will include a “detailed interior and opening hood with an authentically replicated engine.”

On top of that, builders will be able to customize the rig to a degree. The Warthog will have both extra parts and decals with that in mind. And yes, that means you can make it a gauss hog if you want to. And as a slick bonus, it’s even going to come packaged with a 1:64th metal version. Speaking of, the wheel covers will be metal too, so this bad boy might have a little heft to it.

HALO fans will never miss their shot with the Warthog Mattel Brick Shop set, featuring a rotating rear turret, adjustable independent wheel suspension, a working front winch with a 7-inch string, and detailed pad-printed graphics that faithfully recreate the vehicle from the game. It also includes custom parts and decals that transform the vehicle into the M12G1 Gauss Hog, complete with a rear-mounted Gauss Cannon, fan-favorite multiplayer emblems, and battle-damage effects. The set also includes two swappable wheel covers: green M12 Halo Warthog METAL wheels (A state) and HW Originals PR5 wheels (B state).
