A comic book based on an attraction based on a comic book? Yep, and Superman Experience #1 is available at DC’s SDCC booth.
Superman Experience is not a podcast
No, it’s definitely not a podcast. Instead, Superman Experience: Defenders Unite is a fresh attraction that’s debuting at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. And it sounds like it might be a slick visit for fans of the marquee DC Comics hero.
According to the publisher, Superman Experience: Defenders Unite will offer “guests the ability to unlock and hone their super powers, work as a team, and enjoy the illusion of flying alongside Superman through next-generation motion capture technology, active 3D glasses, and high-definition audio.” While we’re not completely sure how some of that might work, it sounds pretty awesome all the same.
Again though, that’s all on the Warner Bros lot, and not at San Diego Comic Con. What is at the currently raging event though, is a different kind of Superman-focused happening. And that can be found exclusively at the DC booth (#4544). There attending fans can take photos with Superman himself and even Krypto. That’s not all though, as the booth also houses “an immersive Fortress of Solitude” that can serve a backdrop for your photographic fun.
And then there’s Superman Experience #1. A tie-in comic for the above-mentioned Warner Bros lot event, the book hails from writer Josh Trujillo and artist Bruno Abdias, with cover art from Bernard Chang. It’s packing an original tale of the Man of Tomorrow as well, starring some new heroes, and the evil forces of Darkseid himself.
Darkseid’s forces threaten humanity like never before! In order to save the day, Superman must rely on his greatest ally: You! Join three young heroes as they power up and fight in a globe-trotting adventure. But remember, every action counts when the future of Earth is on the line. The stakes have never been greater!

Show-goers can get a copy of the above book at the DC booth, those not in attendance have a chance to score a copy too. That’s to say, if they’ll be heading to the Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood. That’s right, the comic will be on sale there, and will be found in the attraction’s store.
