LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight dated for Switch 2

It’s official, the Switch 2’s delayed edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is inbound for the console this September.

Welcome to the Switch 2, Dark Knight

Released just last month, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has gotten a huge amount of praise. It’s easy to see why, especially for those who might be Batman super-fans. The game features a massive open-world Gotham City to play in, plus sports some sharp graphics.

Then there’s the premise, which more or less takes into account the entire multimedia history of the superhero. Not only that, but it actually attempts to mash all of those disparate elements up, and make them work together. That’s no mean feat, considering the tonal shifts between eras

But while the game is out now for all of the major platforms, that first release didn’t include the Switch 2. Switch 2 players shouldn’t fret though, as they’ll be able to hit the road with the Batman this fall.

Don’t forget the loaded Deluxe Edition

While it’s not exactly around the corner, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be heading towards a September release on Switch 2. Fans will be able to look for it to hit the console on the 18th of that month. Along with the base version too, the Deluxe Edition is coming as well.

And just for the Switch 2 version of that, there’ll be what looks like an exclusive and physical bonus. As for what that’ll be, well, it’ll be a LEGO Batman mini-figure. Yawn? Well hang on, because this won’t be just any old Batman mini-figure. Nope, we’re talking about a “LEGO Retro Video Game Batman”.

If you’re wondering what’s so great about that, it’s that it’ll be modeled to look like the iconic purple-hued Batman from the classic NES game. It even looks like it comes complete with a blue face and pixely printing. Ah the memories.

There is one caveat to this bonus however, and that’s that it’ll be included only “while supplies last”. So just be aware of that, if you’re planning to pick up a copy.
