A hub, Bat-suit locker, and garage for the game’s bevy of cars, the Batcave will be a big part of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
To the Batcave!
We’re not far off from the latest LEGO title to feature DC’s iconic crime-fighter. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be arriving on consoles and the PC next month in fact, though we’re still learning quite a bit about the plasticized action title.
Take the Batcave for example. To date, we hadn’t heard much about what the staple locale might entail, but that changed this week. Warner Bros Games has unleashed a deeper look at just what part Batman’s base of operations will play in the final game. And from the looks of it, it’s pretty expansive.
According to the press release, the cave can evolve along with Batman himself, throughout the campaign. New Bat-suits, Batcycles, and Batmobiles will all be stored there as well, and there looks to be a ton of all of them. Good thing it’s a big cave.

Where does he get those wonderful toys?
Now that is a lot of stuff. Bat-suits from the hero’s original 1939 debut to the one featured in The Batman will be present. Not that that’s all, as Warner Bros Games says that there are 100 unlockable costumes in total. Those won’t just include Bat-suits either, as alternate looks for Batman’s array of allies will be in the mix too.
Also notable, is that developer TT Games doesn’t appear to be skimping on the vehicles. The car from the classic 60s TV series is there, as are the ones from the 89 and The Batman films. Are you more a fan of The Dark Knight trilogy? Good thing the Tumbler is in there too then. The only question we have, is how many of these will be made available throughout the course of play. We’d imagine there are some, though as with the suits, we’d bet on doing a decent amount of unlocking.
Whatever the case with costumes and conveyances though, we can’t help but be more impressed every time we see this title in action. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is certainly aiming high. We’ll see if it hits the mark when it releases for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic) on May 22nd, 2026. A Switch 2 version is incoming as well, but later this year.
As you might imagine, Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game are both available for pre-order now. The latter includes a 72-hour early access window, beginning on May 19th. Pre-orders for either version will get The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch.
Speaking of bonuses too, don’t forget that there’s also a Golden Age Batsuit available. That can be added to your game if you have or open a Warner Bros Games account.
